{"id":2378,"date":"2022-08-11T08:56:42","date_gmt":"2022-08-11T08:56:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ipan.co.za\/?p=2378"},"modified":"2022-08-11T08:56:44","modified_gmt":"2022-08-11T08:56:44","slug":"psa-encourages-women-to-be-change-makers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ipan.co.za\/?p=2378","title":{"rendered":"PSA encourages women to be change makers"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<table class=\"wp-block-table\"><tbody><tr><td>On Women\u2019s Day, the Public Servants Association (PSA) calls on South African women to be change makers in society.<br>&nbsp;<br>Women, despite having climbed mountains in pursuit of recognition, are unfortunately often still viewed as weak, defenceless, and in need of the guidance and protection of men. Yet, history has proven the opposite. From the historic Women\u2019s march in 1956, to current-day pillars of society, women continue to play a vital role in society.<br>&nbsp;<br>The PSA has been an ambassador for women\u2019s rights and equal opportunities for women, over decades. In 1971, for example, these efforts resulted in women being to obtain permanently employment in the Public Service. These efforts continue today, with the PSA advocating for women to receive the same opportunities as their male colleagues.
